| Introduction | Pasco County is one of four Tampa Bay area counties and is located approximately 20 miles north of downtown Tampa in Central Florida. It has a population of 344,765 and is ranked as the 38th fastest growing city in the US. Dade City is the county seat with surrounding communities of New Port Richey, Zephyrhills, and St. Leo complimenting Pasco County. The 46 mile Withlacoochee State Trail has its southern terminus in Pasco County following an old rail line along the river with the same namesake.
