Introduction | I was in the US Army for 24 years and served most of them being in the Reserves. I retired a Major. In 1983, I worked at the Pentagon managing 30 programmers on a Project called Arpanet which was the foundation of the Internet. In the military, my main job was working as a Congressional liaison officer for the Pentagon and then as a Public Affairs Officer. When I wasn't in the Army, I normally worked for myself. In the 80s, I owned a couple of Auto Parts stores and sold to the Army and Air force. In the 90s, I started a computer internet business and with 15 others, built the fourth largest Internet service in the states. My old company is now called NetZero. I've have sold security software to governments in the US, Canada, and Mexico. In 2002, I taught as a professor at the University of Houston. I've been married for 30 years and have two wonderful daughters. |
