I am a practicing Objectivist and advocate of long range rational self interest (most of that phrase is redundant). I would like to live in a world where the good is rewarded and the evil is punished; where individualism is encouraged and second handedness discouraged; where a wonderful life is the goal, not the abbreviation of pain.
