| Introduction | We met in the spring of 1987 while Kristie was attending Flagler College. I was a local boy trying to further my own education. We met one day in a hardware store where I was working, Kristie frequented the store because, as I found out later she thought I was cute. We had exchanged some looks and seemed to have a chemistry, since Kristie was hearing impaired it was difficult for me to talk with her. I did everything I could to get her attention, flowers, notes, talking to classmates. I finally got up the nerve to talk to her and ask her out.I was surprised she said yes, and we rode off into the night on my Harley, the "Badboy" image attracted her. We had written off and on since then and had often exchanged letters and phone calls, keeping in touch as we could, then lost touch. In Jan 2003 we found each other and we started communicating via the Internet, and we soon felt those familiar feelings. After a visit to Seattle on Valentine's Day in 2003 we fell in love again and could not stand being three states apart. I talked her into moving to Denver to live with me and eventually get married...the rest is history! |
