Introduction	Hi. I'm Emily Oswald. This fall, I'll be wrapping up work on my M.A. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with an independent study on comparative empires. I'll be reading and writing about empire and colonization from North America to the South Pacific, and posting here weekly to track my progress though a stellar syllabus from Professor Heidi Scott.
