Introduction | I have been an adult leader in Scouting since early 1994, starting as an Assistant Webelos Den Leader. Over these many years I have been a Den Leader Coach, Cubmaster, and in our Troop, Advancement Chair, Committee Chair and then Scoutmaster for four years. During these years I gently urged, sometimes badgered, a number of Scouts to Eagle, including both of my sons. On our District Committee, I have been Friends of Scouting Chair, Scouting for Food coordinator, Webelos breakout leader at Roundtable, and then spent a couple years as Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner. I have been on District Camporee staff for at least 10 years. In 2000 I created the our Council Pow Wow book and the first Pow Wow CD. I have done the same for the 2007 Pow Wow. As “the MacScouter” I was a pioneer in the use of the internet to support Scouting. My wife and I were part of the original Board of Directors, incorporating the US Scouting Service Project. I have been President of USScouts for the past four years. I received the District Award of Merit in 1999, and the Silver Beaver in 2007. And the adventure continues… |
