About me

Location Valle Redondo, Arizona, United States
Introduction There are many well known (even famous?) Alan Richardsons (academics, sportsmen, musicians, churchmen, businessmen); I am not one of those. I would describe myself at the moment as a once-upon-a-time hand brick maker, if I were what I do, however I am not what I do, think, say, write, read, paint, draw, play-act; I am not genes, nature or nurture. And I won't know who I am by defining what I am NOT. I am memory. Who do you say that I am? Born: Oxford, England. Raised: Kelvedon, Essex. Emigrated: 1974 to USA. Married: 1985 no children. What else would you like to know?
Interests making music, hammered-dulcimer, recorder, bodhràn, change-ringing, bricks, geography, poetry, plays, passing interest in philosophy, my self

If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?

Plastic stuff, the bane of gardeners, which hasn't yet become shale or slate. Hydrous aluminium silicates. Lovely stuff with which to make bricks.
