| Introduction | "Life is Outstanding!" :) Isn't that a great way to start your day!? This is how I choose to start my days! Life was almost tragically stopped on On October 12,2010, due to a vehicle collision with a traffic light pole, I sustained a brain bleed, five crushed vertebrae, a punctured lung, and numerous scars that will stick with me as a reminder to appreciate life and forget the small stuff. Thanks to my amazing family; Warren and Brita (Dad and Mom), Astrid, Emmalee, Spencer, Madeline, Olivia, Emmett, and Lidia, thank you for all of your wonderful support now and always, to my Heroes that have introduced me to Pediatric Surgery who have shown me where this amazing path may one day lead, and to my amazing friends who inspire me with 50 mile untramarathons and Ironman races, my hat is off to you all. This race for children with heart defects means that much more... You all make my world a better place- Best always- Pete |
