| Introduction | Hi, I'm Ellie and I am mum to a gorgeous girl who is 50% Persian! My husband is from Iran and we live in the UK. We are bringing up our daughter bilingually, in English and Persian (Farsi). It has been and continues to be a fascinating process - a real linguistic journey. Join me here in reading about her (and our) linguistic and cultural journey and I hope also to share with you some insights and information that you may find useful if you too are bringing up a bilingual child in English and Farsi. We have found it really difficult to find good, reliable Persian language resources such as books, DVDs etc so whenever I find a good one, I hope to be able to display the links on here. |
