Introduction CORE is a diverse and dynamic network of campus activists learning to become organizers. We are bringing more groups to the table while producing more relevant progressive projects and campaigns. We are anti-capitalist, anti-oppression, and anti-imperialist and aren’t afraid to say so! Guided by visions grounded in applied organizing and revolutionary social justice work, we aim to meet real needs.

CORE started as a group of concerned San Francisco State University students -- community organizers, socialists, anarchists, and social workers organizing within a number of groups on and off campus including SF Freedom School, Students for Quality Education, California Faculty Association, Students Against War, International Socialist Organization, Coalition on Homelessness, San Francisco Organizing Project, and Ethnic Studies Student Resource and Empowerment Center-- who recognize a growing need to challenge the budget cuts. Our collective desire to raise these issues and develop ourselves as activists has led us to bring more people to a common table thus resurrecting the Experimental College.
