Introduction a lecturer in Multimedia Journalism at Southampton Solent University. A former news journalist and travel writer, Graham has travelled extensively throughout Asia, spending five years living in mainland China. He worked in Shanghai as deputy editor of the leisure-travel magazine, Asia and Away, and wrote features and columns for the Beijing-based China Daily. As a freelancer, his stories and photographs have been published in scores of newspapers and magazines, including The Times (London), the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong), The Australian (Sydney) and the China Review (London). He is also the author of three Frommer's China guidebooks (including the recently-released 2016 EasyGuide to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai) and has co-authored or updated a dozen more for Frommer's, Insight Guides and the AA. Graham now lives in Hampshire, UK, and recently completed his PhD in Chinese Communications. His thesis probed the relationship between online citizen journalism and China's mainstream press.
