Introduction I have always loved reading and writing as a kid. Absolutely enjoyed it! When I was around 7 yrs. old, while sitting in the back seat of the car, I read every sign on buildings and streets that whizzed by. My mother had enough (I guess) and asked me to read to myself. "I am" I replied. "No, in your head" my mother answered. That's how much I loved words. In my Creative Writing class in high school, the teacher refused to believe that out of the 20 poems she instructed us to write, all 10 really were my own. She gave me a "B-" I think. I kept it only to remind myself that I can be that good when I put my mind to it. Growing up I wrote poems, plays, short stories, to-do lists, journals, whatever. I would act out my plays and ask my sister and best friend to act out my characters. Sometimes they did; sometimes they didn't. I wore them out (smile). As an adult, "life" took me away from my love of words. I wrote poems when I was depressed or overwhelmed. Well, I'm happy to say I'm back! It's great to be able to do what I love and feel as though I'm answering and obeying my true calling.
