Introduction	Now my husband and I are retired, our main occupation is seeing as much of the world as we can. Travelling by train is one of our favourite modes of transport and we have crossed America, Canada, Russia, Mongolia and South Africa as well as here in Australia - taking The Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin. In Africa, we have strolled through the medinas of Morocco and Tunisia, walked the dunes of the Sahara Desert,and spotted game in the reserves of Namibia and Botswana. This year we will walk in the footsteps of the pharoahs before relaxing in the turquoise waters of Zanzibar. Then to Kenya's Masai Mara for the annual migration of animals.
