Introduction Cocoa and Lavender debuted in February 2010 and continues to bring stories and recipes to you each week. The recipes range from simple to complex, but not one is unmanageable in any home kitchen. As often as I can, I simplify the steps to make it even easier for you. I truly hope you enjoy reading, and that you will take the plunge and make a few things! A couple of things - when I refer to salt, I use either kosher or sea salt. If you are using iodized table salt, you might need to increase the amount to get any bang for your buck. If I forget to say so, black pepper always refers to freshly ground, and olive oil to extra virgin, unless noted otherwise. If you are a vegetarian or don't eat what it is I have prepared, make substitutions to turn the recipe into your own.
