Introduction I am a former classicist, would be scholar, technologist, aspiring squash coach and above all poet. I have spent most of my adult life reading Ezra Pound's Cantos and trying to understand them, not unlike my life with squash; In the mixed bag of my psyche I try to connect the dots with what is real and what is imaginary; in squash I am greatly influenced by its simplicity and grace along with its brutality, and of course the immense frustration it can bring. I draw upon my students, players, the squash development of my son and they seem to connect themselves to the ironies of life and sport. These blogs are about my passions for squash and are dedicated to the most magnificent gifts that were given to me, my son, Kyle, my daughter Alexandra, my not so newborn daughter, Athena, and the latest addition Lydia - all of whom provide me with constant inspiration in everything that matters. I have always spoken my mind and have never been shy about being stupid, wrong, crazy or sometimes even smart. None of these writings are meant intentionally to offend anyone if you see some wisdom great, if you see the ramblings of a crazy person, that's great too. It's all true, well, sort of.
