| Introduction | I began writing and motor racing while in the RAF, usually writing about motor racing. A journey in a Mini Minor during 1966 through Europe and across the Sahara to Nigeria became the source of my first book, 'Just Deserts'. I lived in Rhodesia for twenty years, working as a documentary film scriptwriter/producer and as a boxing/wrestling promoter - the logistics involved were much the same. After several trips with professional boxers to Australia, I settled here and in 1985 Juanita and I were married in Melbourne. I worked as a feature writer for 'Fighter' magazine and I still contribute to the on-line edition. Since moving to Clifton in '89 I have continued to write for sports journals and have produced three more books. With support from the Clifton Writers' Group and the Regional Arts Development Fund I was able to have my first novel 'Rose City Blues' published in July 2006 by Zeus Publications. My latest book, The Bengu Years, was published by BookPal in July 2010 and is available from Amazon.com or directly from bookpal.com.au |
