| Introduction | I’m a 34 year old first time mom to an almost 9 month old (as of the start of this blog!) and I’ve been married to my husband Bill for nearly 5 years. We met in 2003 through mutual friends just a few months before I was to move to Charleston, SC-where he already lived. He came over to help unpack my moving truck, took me out to dinner the next evening and the rest, as they say, is history. We currently live on James Island in Charleston with our beautiful and bright daughter, Ava, and our awesome spca mutt, Hershey. I’ve lived in OH, NC, and SC...been a caterer, a nanny, a massage therapist, a pastry chef, an entrepreneur, and now a Mom, too... It hasn’t been a fairytale, but it has at least been an adventure! I began a journal when Ava was a few weeks old to chronicle some of the fun things (& not so fun things!) we were going through & thought she may enjoy reading it someday...plus, I knew my rambling Mommy Brain was not going to retain much! Sooo…ahem!...now that it's been several months since my last entry, I decided to begin a blog instead - with the added bonus of being able to share it with family & friends who live far away!
