| Introduction | We have lived on our family farm in Northland, New Zealand, since 2000. We strongly believe in family values and in helping our children achieve their dreams and believe that our farming lifestyle will help them achieve their potential. I have adopted the blog name of Hermit because my sister once told me that I risked becoming a hermit in the hills if I didn't get out more. I am "the baby" of seven children and, much as I hate to say it, being the youngest has contributed to defining my personality and my life in many ways. Not the least because my mother and siblings continued to introduce me as "the baby" of the family until well after I had babies of my own. Our aim is to live as self sufficiently and sustainably as we can and hand our farm on to the next generation better than we found it. |
