Introduction Una Belle Townsend was an elementary-school teacher/librarian for over thirty years. She graduated from East Texas Baptist College and acquired her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She enjoys working with students from K to Gr. 4, and she visits schools and libraries She has new books coming out in 2019. Honors she's received include an Oklahoma Center for the Book Award and a Children's Choice Award for Grady's in the Silo. She received the Best Juvenile Book Award at the Oklahoma Writer's Federation, Inc. for her book The Great Elephant Escape. She was chosen as Canadian County Citizen of the Year and was the first Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year.. She has worked with Boy Scouts, 4-H, and is a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She is presently a member of the Ladies Library Club in Yukon and Historian. She's on Instagram, Linkedin, and Pinterest.
