| Introduction | I believe agriculture and all of the benefits that agriculture provide are taken for granted. Less than 2 out of every 100 people are directly involved in agriculture while one in four jobs rely on a healthy agricultural sector. Hopefully, my two passions, education and agriculture can come together to help people understand the heritage, contributions, and issues of modern agriculture. I named this blog, Meanwhile, Out at the Ranch, in part as homage to one of my favorite humorous picture books that I read to children, Meanwhile back at the Ranch by Trinka Hakes Nobel and in part because of the old western movies which always had something going on "back or out at the ranch". |
