Favorite Movies These Celestial 42 centre cockpit sloops were designed byJoe Adams and Graham Radford. The design was certified to International American Bureau of Shipping Standards and commissioned by Sydney builder John Mathews as a limited production yacht. Construction took place at American owned Celestial Yachts in Xaimen, China, under Australian shipwright supervision. All critical components, including the fibreglass and vinyl ester resins, were imported from Australia, Europe and the USA and only the highest specification deck gear from Barient, Lewmar and Harken was used in the construction.
Favorite Music The beautifully hand crafted honey teak interior, a hallmark of all Celestial yachts, was done by local Chinese carpenters, whose ancestors have been building teak boats in the region for centuries!
Favorite Books "Catcha Star" was launched in April 1992 and was sailed to Australia for the Sydney boat show in that year. The trip was apparently quite eventful with some severe weather along the way which proved the robustness of the design. During a stopover in Yap the son of the Chief of Wollei Atoll, who was returning home after graduating from university, joined the voyage and sailed with the rest of the crew to his home island. On arrival "Catcha Star" and crew received a traditional royal welcome. Local island customs decreed that the sole lady member of the crew had to attend a parallel celebration with the women of the island!

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

On the domestic side "Catcha Star" has two double cabins including a luxurious owner's cabin aft with a queen-size island bed and settee. Both cabins have individual ensuites with heads and showers. The main saloon has a curved seating lounge to port around the dining table and a bench seat to starboard.
