Introduction	The Prohibition movement enabled the women to become more independent, and fight for what they believed in. It assisted them in becoming more equal to men, because it presented women the idea that they can make a difference in the nation. Even though the Prohibition unfortunately ended in it's own demise and against the women's wishes, the movement helped the group gain more power than it had before.
