| Introduction | Hello all and welcome to my blog! My name is Allison Collins and I reside in Stamford, CT with my fiancé Ryan and Australian Shepherd named Gunner. I enjoy my job as a 5th to 8th grade math teacher at a Greek private school in NY. Technology is an important aspect in my daily life and profession. In my personal time I enjoy scrolling on social media, perusing Pinterest, and searching for new recipes! At work, now more than ever, technology is essential to our day to day operations. We are currently implementing simultaneous in person and remote learning. We are using zoom as the platform to communicate with students that choose the remote learning option. In order for students to see and hear us and their classmates, we are using tripod cameras and wireless microphones. I joke with the students that I am their tour guide for the day, but I am happy to be connected with them virtually. In order to keep everyone on the same page we are using Google Classroom for announcements, material, and assignments. To keep track of attendance and grades we are using Gradelink. I find both programs to be very user friendly and helpful during this strange time. |
