IntroductionI love running (especially trails)!! I also LOVE my sweet nieces and nephews, photography, books, and piano.

A big part of me also includes my love of and dedication to researching risk and resilience among adversity-exposed children and adolescents. Specifically, I focus on processes underlying risk and resilience, as well as mechanisms by which abuse and trauma are transmitted or blocked across generations.

Conducting trauma research is a rich and rewarding experience that I will carry with me throughout my life. However, I have found that this work can take both a personal and emotional toll >insert running here<. Not only is running a great stress reliever, running (particularly the trails) reminds me of the goodness and beauty in the world.

Running has given me so much, I want to do it more! Thus, this blog is to help motivate me to get out there MORE and to also connect me to others with the same passion. :)
