Introduction	I love to paint interesting landscapes that capture the light and colors of mountains, trees, water and sky. We've been travelling around California, Oregon, Arizona and New Mexico where I painted, took photos and explored the sights. I hope to show you some of their beauty in my paintings. On the other hand, I'm just as happy to stay home and paint my local area, the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range. I also enjoy working alongside fellow painters in workshops and paint outs, each experience bringing me closer to understanding my own style. I understand the value of painting "en plein air", always hoping to catch essence of the place. For still life paintings, I arrange everyday objects and try to bring out their unique personalities--a cheerful plate, a lonely baseball or a flirtatious flower.
