| Introduction | This is the view of my landscape in the setting of the suburban stereotype. This is the "Villa Rustica" of the new millennium. Unlike the gardens in Roman Villa's my lot is a quarter acre of flat turf in which I have created my own garden compositions full of begged for, bargained, and scavenged materials. Villa Rustica is 30 years old, on a cul-de-sac off a cul-de-sac off a private drive. Neighborhoods like this are considered literal roadblocks to more efficient transportation systems and a more ecological society. No one can take away my Villa and I do not care if I escape the stereotype. |
