| Introduction | Contact me People are often vaguely shocked when I explain to them that, no, not all writers who live in Los Angeles are trying to break into the movie business. Some of them (like me) write prose, because they think it's fun when people use their imaginations. At least I assume that's why; it's certainly not because it's a better way to make money. Currently, in addition to my short story projects, I'm working on a series of historical fiction novels set in the early Middle Ages. That's where my MA in history from USC comes in handy. When I'm not writing, I tend to read a lot, rock out to the heavy metal, or watch [Adult Swim]. The usual writery stuff. |
| Interests | Writing, reading, collecting books, anything USC related, listening to metal, playing video games, watching animated TV, pretty much anything that makes you a geek. |
| Favorite movies | e.g., The Matrix, Blade Runner, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, anything Hitchcock. |
| Favorite music | Tool, the spectrum of heavy metal beginning around Pantera and getting heavier from there. |
| Favorite books | Authors are easier: William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, Neil Gaiman, George R. R. Martin, Alan Moore, Richard Morgan, Jeff Somers, Charles Stross, among others. |
