| Introduction | I grew up in suburban Detroit, between 8 and 9 Mile. My dad was nearly full blood--his mother was Chippewa--his father, Cherokee. My mom looks Cherokee. My two sisters, Debi, Kim, and I love to read, think, write and talk. Ken Dowdy, my 6'4" love with hazel eyes and a golden voice, married me 35 years ago. Our sons Chris, 28 and Trevor, 25, rock our world with music, and musings about nearly everything. Chris improved the family with his marriage to Lauren. |
