Introduction	Twenty years ago I set out to make my mark in the world. I walked past the Home Econmics building every day on the campus of the University of Alabama on my way to the classes that would make me smart enough to change the world or at least to get into Law School. I did not, however, learn enough to keep from getting pregnant. Now I have five children and NO skills as a housewife except for how to make sure all food groups are represented at most meals. I am apathetic about housework and downright nihilistic about the laundry. Oh, and I don't bake. I enjoy my family and use having fun with them as an excuse to avoid unpleasant tasks, like scrubbing and scouring. They'll remember the good times more than the mess, right?
