IntroductionI write because life is filled with stories and lessons; mysteries and blessings. And truly, my highest calling and the most important purpose for lovingly crafted and powerful words is to glorify God and be a blessing. I'm a preacher's wife and mother, a SS Teacher and a farm girl. I sing with the radio, stay up too late, cry at the movies, drink tea, not coffee, prefer spring and fall, adore baby animals and love to laugh. I hope you'll visit my website and learn more about all the ways I work with words as a writer, speaker, singer, publicist and Bible teacher. But for now, I pray you'll hear God's whisper in every jot and tittle at Blessings from Brenda.
InterestsDigging in the Word of God! What a thrill when the Lord meets me there and shows me something brand new! I adore my family, enjoy great music, and get carried away with graphic arts. I'm thankful for a fast and easy recipe, love meeting people and appreciate genuine friendship.
Favorite moviesCurrently - Fireproof - A Must-see! The Ultimate Gift, Sound of Music, Second Hand Lions, Remember the Titans, Radio, Beauty and the Beast, It's a Wonderful Life, The Kid, Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Rookie, The Ride, Flash...
Favorite musicI like GOOOOD music. The genre doesn't matter as much as the content. I want to feel good when I listen or be moved or learn a lesson. I prefer Christian to any other, but keep my mind open so that I can hear messages from the Lord wherever I tune in. Some of my favorite artists are Christian: Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Natalie Grant, Phil & Pam Morgan, Jeff & Sherry Easter, The Talleys, Ivan Parker... Country: Brad Paisley, Billy Currington, Craig Morgan - especially his tender songs, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, and many, many more. Show tunes and movie musical hits from days gone by. Elevator music and love songs by Lionel Richey. Classical lullabys, wonderful old hymns and worship songs with meat, not just redundancy. Told you I had eclectic tastes.
Favorite booksBible, Just about anything by Max Lucado, At Jesus Feet, This Present Darkness, Piercing the Darkness, You Might Be a God Chaser, Boyhood Dayz, books by David Jeremiah and Chuck Swindoll. Anything in print by Beth Moore and my own works in progress.
