| Introduction | The purpose of my blogger is to update my friends and family on my new life's journey. I am on a road which I didn't ask to be on nor are their roadsigns to guide my path. I have been hanging out with new friends and old ones. My husband, Allen, died suddenly on August 19, 2008. Since that tragic night, my life is not and will never be the same. The one lesson I have learned is that in this life, always to remember that life is short. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to us. Over the last several months, this lesson of life has been something I've come to live by. NEVER take those you care about for granted. Love now, live now, and laugh with them now. Spend time with them and be there for them now. As Dr. Trudy Tharpe of the Alabama Grief Foundation told me: you are not the same lady I met back in September of 2008. That is a true statement. I seem to be emerging a new woman without Allen. What the new me will look like, I do not know. But, let the birthing begin! |
| Interests | I love to read and to hang out at Starbucks. I love animals, spending time doing random research (Yes, I know that's nerdy). I love to meditate. To me, the principle of the matter is more important than the matter itself. l like to walk, work out, and have stimulating conversation. I write poetry to express my emotions, feelings, and experiences. |
