| Introduction | I am happily married and happily retired. We are "shorebirds"- we live in wonderful Florida and go to the Jersey Shore for July and August. I have enough books to last twice my probable lifetime, enough yarn, enough quilt fabric, enough crossstitch charts and kits- in other words if I live to be 300 I will still have "stash" to give away. I love all my hobbies and activities, but I most love doing things with my beloved husband. In a former life I was a high school teacher- Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology, mostly. I loved that career and still love all the hundreds and hundreds of kids, "my kids", I taught. In the life before that I was in practice as an Optometrist, which I also loved. Medical issues ended each career, but I keep learning anew how to live a good life in spite of my medical problems. We have 2 great kids, both adults, and we enjoy spending time with them when we can. We have many good friends who have been wonderful to us over the years. In other words, we have a great life! In this blog, I'll be sharing all of this with you- I hope you enjoy. |
