| Introduction | Ashlee Lauren developed an interest in photography at an early age. She began shooting subjects at around seven years old: the new Barbies she got for Christmas with her mother's Canon SLR. Since then her subjects have grown with her. As the age of digital photography dawned, she was free to begin experimenting uninhibited. While she has no formal training, she has studied the art of photography and has picked up "tips" from the greats, such as Ansil Adams. She has a thorough knowledge of photo editing techniques and favors a slightly vintage aesthetic. She also has a heart for the rich black and white tones of film and daguerreotype photographs. In addition to photography, she enjoys reading and writing. |
