Introduction	I've studied history and politics at the University of Western Ontario, University College London and am working on a doctorate from Kings College London. Having long had an interest in the history, geography and economics of wine and other drinks, I'd like to add something useful to a field of writing that suffers on both ends from elitist and jingo-istic journalism.
