Introduction | Michael J. Scott has been an ordained minister for nineteen years. He has been writing fiction for thirty-two years. His first completed novel was called The Coppersmith. Since learning how to finish a novel some four years ago, Michael has gone on to complete two more novels, both of which have been or will be published at this time. The first, The Lost Scrolls will be coming out in Spring of 2012. The second, Jefferson's Road is available on Amazon. Michael grew up in New York and spent most of his ministry career in the Upstate region, serving in congregations both small and large. Michael is currently planting a church in Rochester, New York, where he lives with his wife and three children. |
Interests | Writing, obviously, as well as Christian ministry. I'm also into social studies (no, not the middle school class. Think bigger), karate, freestyle kendo, reading, movies, and taking hikes with my lovely wife and rambunctious kids. |
Favorite movies | The Lord of the Rings, Highlander (but none of the crappy sequels), Independence Day (love the President's Speech!), Return to Me (wife's favorite - have to like it), The Matrix, and just about anything from M. Night Shamylan |
Favorite music | Steve Taylor. Hands-down my favorite Christian artist. His satire borders on the prophetic. |
Favorite books | The Lord of the Rings, by Tolkien; That Hideous Strength, by C.S. Lewis; Faerie Tale, by Raymond Fiest; and The Stand, by Stephen King. |
When you've got water stuck in your ear, how do you get it out?
Are you sure you want to? Hot water in the ear feels pretty good. Kinda loosens the wax, too, doesn't it?
