| Introduction | Hello All!! I am Renganathan, an aspiring data scientist pursuing my masters in Bussiness Analytics from the Linder College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. I did my bachelors in electrical engineering and then joined as a Decision Scientist in Mu-Sigma Business solutions, a pure play data analytics firm. That’s where I was introduced to the art of problem solving and data driven decision making. It was exciting to solve business analytics challenges for customers in Retail, Investment Banking and Transportation. Later I joined Caterpillar as an Analyst Engineer, developing algorithms for machine control and real time condition monitoring applications using sensors on-board. An accomplishment that I am proud of is the patent I have on my name for an on-board analytics proposal I made at Caterpillar. I am a strong believer of team work and knowledge sharing and that’s one of the major motivations for creating these blog posts. Looking forward to learning a lot more through writing these posts.
