Introduction I am a spiritual caregiver and have spent 20 years doing it through pastoring, chaplaincy, and humanitarian work. I ride horses, play hockey, played volleyball, and love humanitarian work in Africa. I am mysteriously drawn by the mystique of the world's longest river... the river Nile. Unlike most of the worlds rivers that gain flow, strength and volume as they progress, the Nile works the other way. It loses some 60% of it's flow through the desert on it's way to Egypt after starting out powerfully and mightily from Lake Victoria in Uganda. After 20 years of service to people I can relate to that! You start out strong in youth and spend yourself by giving up much of your flow. Yet the Nile is renewed every day by it's source in Jinja. It brings life to all it touches through it's course to the Delta and drains itself and it's strength in the process. Thats a great analogy! A haunting one too! Most major Biblical figures from Moses to Jesus touched it's waters. God himself bathed in its water, meaning God himself has been touched by Uganda. Perhaps it's now time that the rest of the world is also touched by Uganda. I sure have and so have my Project Africa friends!
Interests I love music and play a little to keep up with my boys. I love the outdoors, The kids' sports, Lacrosse, volleyball, rugby, basketball. Sometimes I am only a fan since I don't know the game and would suck at playing it (like rugby and basketball). I also like gold prospecting, movies, house design (my career before ministry), fine cigars, Drambuie on ice, Coors Light, The L.A. County Jail Ice Dogs, Project Africa 2010, flying, hiking and mountain survival.
