Introduction | I've been around for seventy six years; I read, garden, write science fiction, and ponder future history. I have a B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Pennsylvania (independent major in ancient history) and an M.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas (history of ideas). I've been ABD since 1992, but gave up working on my dissertation (on William Morris's philosophy of technology) to pursue related projects independently. I'm now retired from teaching art and design history at a proprietary design school and am enjoying being able to do all the stuff I've been putting off for the past thirty or so years. |
