| Introduction | I am Senior Lecturer in journalism on Cardonald College Glasgow's NCTJ-accredited courses, having previously worked on local and national press, radio and online journalism. I'm currently working on a Phd entitled 'New Media and the Changing Face of Sports Journalism - Vancouver 2010-Glasgow 2014', and attending the Winter Olympics in Vancouver as part of my study in February 2010. I'm particularly interested in journalism training and development, and the improvement of journalism standards and skills - and am a member of the NCTJ's joint qualifications board, and chairman of the Scottish Journalism Training Forum. |
