| Introduction | Prabuddha Biswas (b. 1962) is a freelance Journalist. He is the author of the pioneering book, "THE MAKING OF THE FIRST CANTONMENT OF THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT IN PATNA, 1757-1768." He was the editorial team member of two government publications: - (i) PATNA – A MONUMENTAL HISTORY (2008) (ii) MONUMENTS OF BIHAR (2011). Both books were published, by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar. He has written more than 100 articles on the history and heritage related issues of Patna and Bihar; which got published in national dailies and other magazines. Presently, he is involved in the research work of military warfare and war strategies and in exploring communication routes, passing through Bihar during various historical periods. He has delivered several lectures on related issues on the invitation of various revered institutions of the state, He did his MSc. in Geology from Patna University but he has developed great passion for the history of Bihar, as freelance journalist and in the course of criss-crossing the state of Bihar as ‘marketing personnel’. Mr. Biswas earns his living by working in the ‘Development Sector’. |
