| Introduction | JJ Zep was born in Cape Town, South Africa, to Scottish parents, and grew up in South Africa, Turkey, Scotland and the United States. After serving two years in the military, he qualified as an English teacher. He later obtained an MBA and was a senior executive in the Finance Department of a Fortune 500 company. Writing, along with music, has always been his passion, and he started writing short stories, poetry and lyrics while playing in rock bands during the 80's and 90's. His works are typically cross-genre, incorporating elements of horror, fantasy and sci-fi, and exploring ideas like time travel, alternate history, post-apocalyptica and the possibility of alternate universes. JJ describes himself as a vegetarian, horror-and-fantasy-fiction-loving heretic and a restless soul. He has lived in England, France and the U.S. as and adult. He currently lives in the South of France with his wife, two dogs and three cats. |
