Introduction I'll end up changing this. I'm Thad. I got tired of opining on Facebook and I figured in my own egocentric way that people would be interested in my blog. We'll see what I think about this premise in 2 years. The best description of me was once succintly stated: I'm exceptionally above average. I'm the youngest and tallest of six kids, grew up in the east, came out west, found my beautiful bride, dragged her around the world for 15 years in the army, and then when she finally loved a place we moved to, I got out of the army and took her home to Utah. Now we chase our four girls, and try to find serenity in the midst of our self-induced chaos. Join us now at your own risk. I'm a father of seven children. Three of our sons died prematurely, and so we adopted our four little girls... and they're amazing. Jill and I struggle every day with being parents, being professionals, and discovering how our love and faith makes us tick. We have a great family. We're just a little dysfunctional.
Interests sleeping without snoring, finding a cold Cherry Coke Zero in the fridge, avoiding sweat, avoiding pain, making my children laugh, not making my wife cry, and finding truth.
Favorite Movies My latest favorit: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Others: Inception. The Dark Knight Trilogy. Lincoln. It's a Wonderful Life. So I Married An Axe Murderer. Any Monty Python. Raising Arizona (about the only good movie Nicolas Cage was ever in). Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (about the only good movie Keanu Reeves was ever in--but I haven't seen 47 Ronin yet). Tommy Boy. Ah, there are others, just can't think of them right now. I love movies.

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?

Old rags. It will be commemorating my eventual victory over bed wetting. Damn those vampires that were waiting for me to walk to the bathroom in the dark. Damn them all (they were in our storage room too).
