Introduction	A decision to move to the Pacific Northwest is a hard one to make. The fishy salt water smell, the exceedingly Asian tourism industry, and the dreaded rain is daunting to any outsider. However, I am not an outsider. I grew up in Washington, went to school in Oregon, and am guilty of even the most stereotypical "Northwest faux pas". But Eastern Washington is NOT Western Washington, Eugene Oregon barely counts as on the "coast", I still don't have a Subaru, and yet, I find myself here...in the land of rain and (thank god) Starbucks...about to embark on what will undoubtedly be a note-worthy journey. Come along with me, as I experience the wonders and woes of induction into the role of "Seattleite": n, 1.Any person living in, or within ten miles of the city of Seattle, WA. 2.Is easily agitated when tourist asks to see the original Starbucks, Microsoft or Kurt Cobain's house. 3.Is a pretentious coffee snob due to the thousands of delicious coffee houses and rostaries that surround them. 4.Any person who knows not to visit Pike Place Market on a Saturday. 5.Anybody who knows that "eating dicks" means eating burgers. 6.Typically a city that is completely devoid of soccer moms.
