| Introduction | Hello class, my name is Kayly. This is my second year of college but my first (probably of many) at ACC to try to take care of my basics, which may be lengthy because I have no idea what I want to get a degree in. The political typology quiz addressed me as Post Modern, along with 13% of society. I made a 30% on the civics quiz and a 40% on the current events quiz, which is really embarrassing but not surprising to me. I'm taking this class because it is a core class. I don't watch the news or know a single thing about government or politics, but my mom says I need to start paying attention to the world so I'm fairly excited to see what I'll learn in this class, since I do think it's kind of important to know what's going on politically and economically in your country and others. Hopefully by the end of this course I'll be able to have an intelligent conversation with my parents while watching the news and drinking coffee. |
