About me

Occupation Fiber Artist
Location Pa
Introduction Hi, my name is Sherri, thanks for taking the time to stop by. My husband Joe and I live in western Pennsylvania. I love to knit, and then discovered the art of spinning. We live on a small farm so it was only natural for me to create my own fiber source. That was when I started my rabbitry, McMahon Rabbitry. I decided on Giant Angora Rabbits to start. They are called gentle giants with good reason, and are also very good woolers. The bunnies enable me to produce fiber in the colors and styles that I like. We also have angora goats which produce mohair, they are all white wethers and are a great addition to my spinning flock. We recently added a Dorset lamb to our flock - her fiber is creamy white and springy - mixes great with the mohair. We have shetland sheep, the fiber is next to the skin soft :)
Interests Fiber animals, knitting, crochet, cooking, reading, simple country life.
