| Introduction | I am a young professional turned stay-at-home mom who lives in the Midwest. My wonderful husband, Travis, is a project manager with an international company. His gentle and composed temperament is the perfect complement to my fiesty and neurotic disposition. I was blessed to grow up with a big sister named Leanne, who has Down syndrome. She is the light of our lives and in March 2010, she inspired another incredible blessing in our family – the adoption of our daughter, Josie, who also happens to have Down syndrome. In August 2011, our family was blessed once more when our second daughter, Merryn, was born. We welcomed our third daughter, Lydia, in May 2014. The chromosomally enhanced life is not without its challenges, but the rewards are rich beyond compare. |
