Favorite musicI like original music. You know, the kind of music where you know that the artist performing it spent months putting it all together to be uniquely "them." I'm not gonna give you a big list. People who like what I like are usually the people who just start listing off obscure names to make you think they have a very deep, refined appreciation for music that they've searched every out-of-the way club in Scotland to find. Typically though, they just want to list names that you've never heard of, because they don't want to think of themselves as liking the music of the masses. And probably more often than not, they just went to the website of a record label that represents a band they like and they find some random band listed there to add to their list. They'll get one of their songs from Limewire and make sure its not too experimental or ridiculous, just to be sure. And probably more often than not, they'll have a new list in a week because people will start looking up the bands they list and claiming to like them too. Those people make me batty. But I guess they'll eventually figure it all out. Also, I like Foo Fighters.
Favorite booksI read manuals and self-help books. And there are 3 books at the library that I like to look at over and over: Freakonomics, Think and Grow Rich, and this big archive book of all the TV shows that have ever aired with plot lines, character names, episode lists and memorable moments. I studied it a lot when I was planning to try out for the World Series of Pop Culture, but then I found out that they weren't planning to bring it back.

You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?
