A Thurber House Children’s Writer-in-Residence, Lisa has been named a Fox Sports Network “American in Focus,” Publishers Weekly Flying Start, and USA Today Critics’ Top Pick. Other accolades include Washington Post Book of the Week (twice), American Library Association Notable, and a National Parenting Publications Honor for her American Girl historical novel, Good Luck, Ivy. Prior to being an author, Lisa has been a TV writer/producer, journalist, and creative director of her own marketing/design company, Magic Pencil Studios.
