| Introduction | I was born in Waco, Texas, just a month too late to witness one of the most devastating tornadoes in US history. I can't consider myself more than an honorary Texan, however, as both my parents are native Californians and I've lived in California since I was just a few months old. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley but have abandoned Southern California for Sacramento, where I live with my husband, teenage daughter, and three cats. |
