| Introduction | Dr. A.P. Mohamed Ali was born to Janab A.P.Mohamed and Janaba S. Kader Bivi. He hails from Ilayangudi, Sivaganga Dist. Tamilnadu. He studied in Ilayangudi High School. He studied PUC in RDM College, Sivaganga. He graduated in New College, Chennai in 1969. He got his master degree from Presidency College in 1971. He was a Lecturer in K.M.college, Adhirampattinam till 1974. He served as DSP in Madurai, Coimbatore, A.C Chennai. He was S.P. Salem, Dharmapuri, Tuticorin, D.C Chennai North. He was posted as DIG Villupuram. He was awarded President's Police Medal in 2000. He served DIG; CBCID for 3 years.He completed his research in criminology of Madras University and got Doctorate in 2005. After his retirement in 30.6.2006 he published 2 books in English namely, 'Performance of woman police', 'Clarion call by an IPS Officer' and in tamil, 'Oru Kakki Chattai pesugiradu'. In order to motivate muslims he wrote tamil book, 'samudha piratchanaigalum and theervugalum’ 'Samudhayame Vilithelu' and 'Theenorae Kelungal'. He has two daughters, namely Shamim and Farijohn and two sons Faizal and Sadakathullah |
